Been living in Phuket for a week now and i’m starting to feel more settled. Our place feels very safe and secure, plus our landlord is an English geezer which is very important so we don’t get screwed over by any Thai fookers. He’s been very accommodating, loaning me his scootay for free as well as sorting us out with a whole bunch of other stuff, seems a really top bloke. I don’t have the scootay anymore as we have now rented a car which I’m not too sure I’m completely happy about. Yes its obv safer than the bike but i feel fine on a bike and we only need transport for local places like Tesco’s or the gym. Anywhere of any real distance like Patong then we get a taxi, simples. Cos can’t/won’t ride a bike but he can’t drive a car either so he’s pretty restricted in terms of getting out and about which i knew would be a problem. Also our sleeping patterns are abit diff atm so for the most part he’s been stuck in the villa. Get out of your pit Greekstain! I think i might get rid of the car after a month and rent a bike. Its alot cheaper plus its easier to park and easy to shoot from place to place, fingers crossed i don’t die riding it. Oh another thing is any scratch or dent or anything then we have to fork out, i just don’t feel comfortable about dealing with a bunch of Thai fish who will likely scam us out of money, plus they have all my credit card details etc. Even if we have an accident out here its the tourist that gets the blame regardless, arrrgh. Here’s a snap of my new wheels…

A few days ago i took her for a spin and did a whole 360 of the island driving through Rawai, Nai Harn, Kata, Karon, Patong, Phuket Town and then back to Chalong. It took me a abit of time to get use to it as its an automatic and i kept trying to change gears, doh. I’ve also started to ease back into exercising again as my little moobays and one pack have got to go. Went for a nice run around a Lake at Rawai plus i saw some boobies at the beach and had a decent 30 min jog around the local area attracting various interest from the Thai people. As i ‘sped’ past them doing about 3mph they all stare at me like i’m some sort of alien, its pretty com. Also had a few nice dips in the pool as well as paying a visit to Chalong gym, it felt pretty good.
Atm its not just me and Cos living here but a bunch of small lizards. I don’t mind them really, but Cos shits himself as i mentioned in my post on my blogspot addy. The thing is, i guess its not ideal to have the odd lizard crawling around at night but there are no insects here at atm, nothing. I’m guessing that there would be tons of mozzays flying about the place and a few disgusting cockroaches etc if it weren’t for the lizards snapping em up. Personally, i welcome my new cold blooded friends, especially as its pretty entertaining to watch Greeky run a mile at the site of one. The fish won’t even shower atm because a lizard has decided to make himself at home in his shower, lolz. He’s feet are starting to smell again thou, sigh. Tonight i actually managed to catch two of the little rascals. Firstly, i caught this tiny baby geeko lizard in my shower then a few mins later i caught a slightly bigger lizard who seems to spend most of his time behind our toaster and i got Cos to pose for some snaps, check it…

Gave Cos his first glimpse of what the girls are like here in Thailand the other day and took him to a shady little road in Chalong full of dirtay skank prozzays. The fish loved it! They desperately grab and try to cling on to you in the hope that you’ll pay em a few quid for a quick bit of action. We must have turned down about 20 potential rumps in about 5 minutes. You should have seen the smile on Costa’s little hairy greek chops, he’s never had that many offers in his life! Can’t wait to see the look on his face when we hit Patong, lolz. It’s gonna be epic!
Got my new poker set up sorted now too. Obviously i brought my lappy over here with me and I’ve since purchased a decent 23 inch monitor for £100 which does the job. So far i’ve played about 4k hands of .25/.50 plo and made a few buyins and last night i had my first taste of a new mtt schedule which I’m not a big fan of just yet. Because of the time difference I’m having to play comps that I’ve rarely/never played before so its gonna take some adjusting. Regged between 7pm-12 Thai time which is 1-6pm uk time. Yesterday i slightly over did it and ended up 20 tabling at one point which is waaaay too many for me. I usually play a max of 12 with 8 or 9 being optimal so 20 was a bit manic. I was in for about $1.3k total and ended up losing around $450, sigh. Right, that’s about it i think, not a lot happening right now, just finding my feet. Things are good though, i’m really happy. Laters!
