July has been a pretty good month for me poker wise both in terms of profit and volume levels. In total i’ve played 235 mtt’s which is a decent amount of tournaments for a lazy fish like myself, although if i exerted myself abit more i could easily more than double that amount imo. I made a ton of finals tables and cashes in these tourns winning a total of $9k + a few hundo in rb and bonuses. The buyins ranged from as low as $5-$30r and $15-$50f with the occasional $100f and $50r mixed in. My best results included two 2nd place finishes in a $20r and another 2nd in a $50f as well as a few top 6 finishes in the $30r and a bunch of other tournays. I also managed to ship a $15f, 20f, 50f, 7r, 10r and a comedy 64 runner 5 buck HU winner take all comp crushing David ‘crash bang wallop’ Garden in the process.
Further to this i also played three £100f live comps this month and was lucky enough to get an even 3 way chop in the last one for $1,640 wiiiii, live pro obv. The first two were epic fails in a couple of side events in the UKIPT in Brighton when i met up with that huge poker fish Coggy for a few days. QQ<JJ early doors in the first one which was alot of fun and AQ<44 in the the second comp in which was probably the most card/spot dead live tourn i can ever remember playing.
The live ‘bink’ came at the G Casino in Luton the other day in what turned out to be a decent night out with Cos (Greekstein), Shaun (Claypole), Vinnie (Celtic) and Sunny Nagiiiii. Cos obviously decided to snap bust himself in about 10 hands after getting unlucky with AK and KK in the first few hands then tilt open shoving the rest in with about 60 bigs 4 hands in a row, wp mate. Vinnie also decided to snap bust himself too moments after agreeing to swap 10% with me with about 15 players left, good skillz mate. I think Sunny hero’d his stack off with about 30 players left with 9th pair or something, lol @ these cash game fish. Shaun also managed to gg himself in a somewhat dubious play with that monster of a hand that is q10 by re-shipping his bowl in the bb after a massive donko opened it UTG. The fish obv called and had Shaun in bad shape with AQ. I actually thought Claypole might be a good player after his recent online heroics winning about $80k this month (mbn) but it turns out he’s terrible as well 
Cheers for the munch btw Shaun and nice to meet you mate, thanks for hanging around until redic O’clock in the morn too whilst i showed you boys how to win at the live pokerz. There were only 67 runners in total but i thought i played pretty solid throughout making very few mistakes. We were 3 handed at 5am with even stacks and everyone was pretty tired plus the lads had been railing me so we all agreed on the even chop, happy days!
Outside of poker i’ve had a few top days/nights out and about with the most memorable probably being a day i spent in London with my Turkish delight Derya. Old skool Amatay fans may remember Derya from a few years ago. I met her in Watford in June 2008 and we kinda dated for a brief period. She is one of the most beautiful fun girls I’ve ever met and we have remained good friends since she went home to Stockholm where i also visited her a couple of yrs ago. Anyways i picked her up from Stansted Airport and she stayed the night at mine in the spare room and the next day we had a really fun day out…
Its crazy, because even thou i’ve done a fair amount of travelling since turning ‘pro’ a few yrs ago i haven’t really explored my own capital city as much as i should have, London is a really cool place! We spent much of the day just basically roaming around Leicester Sq, Piccadilly, China Town, Soho and Covent Garden. It was a really sunny day so we also took a boat trip up the Thames under the Tower Bridge and checked out the Tower of London. I won’t bore you with all the little details but we got through plenty of stuff and it turned out to be a loooong and entertaining day in which i also met the queen (see pics). That will do for now, i’ve got Greekstein living with me atm so look out for a potentially lol post concerning that fishay in a few days, laters.
